Grow in Visiting Teaching

Sisters, it was such a privilege to meet with you for visiting teaching interviews!  We did forty interviews in two days alone and it was wonderful to have that time to talk with you.  Please remember you can call us at any time for any reason.

We heard many wonderful stories about visiting teaching during our interviews.  One sister said Visiting Teaching is important because we’re spiritual stewards over those we’re assigned to.  So true!  I hope that if you don’t already have a testimony of visiting teaching, you will challenge yourself to improve your efforts.  You and your sisters will be blessed!  And if you feel you’re not connecting with the sisters you visit teach – serve, serve, serve!  Serve while you’re visiting (help with a project) and serve in-between visits.  Service creates a quick path to meaningful relationships.

In the last conference, President Monson said love is the essence of the Gospel.  He said, “We cannot truly love God if we do not love our fellow travelers on this mortal journey.  Likewise, we cannot fully love our fellowmen if we do not love God, the Father of us all.”  Through visiting teaching, we can develop and nurture that love for one another.  Thank you for all that you do!

With Much Love,

Karen Berndt
